May:

GGE’s Equity in Health and Fitness boxing program begins at the Bed-Stuy Boxing Center. Girls were trained by George Washington, who trained some of boxing's top names, including Riddick Bowe and Mark Breland. Mr. Washington passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 79. He was a great trainer and had long trained any would-be contender who came his way. Rest In Peace Mr. Washington, you will be missed.
