GGE girls live in some of the most distressed neighborhoods of New York City. Together we can eliminate the social barriers that prohibit girls from reaching their full potential. Your donation will help GGE to create equal opportunites for girls and women in health, fitness, education, employment and media. GGE needs your contribution to change the discriminatory and derogatory views of girls and women that plague our communities.

If you let girls play sports they are more likely to be assertive when faced with potentially violent instances, make the right decisions in unsafe situations and report violence against them. They are more likely to refrain from using drugs and engaging in gang activity. Girls who play sports are less likely to have "irresponsible" and "unsafe" sex, become pregnant or contract STDs (Women's Sports Foundation, 2001). If you let girls play sports they are more likely to graduate from high school and college as well as become leaders in our communities as adult women.

Matching Gifts

You can multiply your gift if your employer has a Matching Gift program. Thousands of companies have programs that will double, or even triple, individual tax-deductible contributions made by their employees, retirees, the spouses of employees and, in some cases, board members. Ratios for matching gifts can vary from one-to-one to five-to-one.
