March:

As part of the Parent Organizing Task Force, GGE facilitated basic self-defense classes for parents at P.S. 44 and P.S. 56.

April:

Continuing the support of parents in need of physical fitness opportunities, GGE facilitated workshops called “Yoga, the Mind, Body and Spirit of a Woman” at P.S. 44.

May:

GGE girls create a garden and bond with elders at the Van Dyke Senior Center to celebrate Join Hands Day.

GGE presents dinner and the movie “Our Song,” for parents, girls, and their friends. The movie is about three teenage girls facing the challenge of growing up in a world filled with uncertainty, risk and, ultimately, hope.
