“Bring Your Brother Day” was a day of conversation, connection and consciousness-raising in a fun and safe space. In honor of International Anti-Street Harassment Week, Youth Organizers at Girls for Gender Equity (GGE) invited male friends and family members to discuss gender equality and stopping street harassment. The 3 hour workshop explored what gender roles and stereotypes are and how they impact the lives of young people. The group was engaged and thoughtful, and the youth organizers facilitated many fun activities and meaningful discussions!

By reaching out to the young men in their lives, youth organizers are working to build allies and strengthen GGE’s work in promoting gender equity. Click here to read more about the workshop, which was held on March 16, 2012.
